Fluid mediums and varnish

Liquitex Mediums are made of an emulsion of acrylic polymer(binder) which offers a long-lasting, flexible, waterproof and ultraviolet ray resistant for Liquitex colors. Those Mediums will enable to change the features of the paint, its handling, its appearance, its volume, by producing an endless variety of effects(Airbrush medium,medium and glossy varnish..).

Glazing Medium Liquitex now offers a medium specifically formulated to allow painters to do exactly that through building rich, jewel-like glazes. The new Glazing Medium offers superior wet clarity so as minimize wet-to-dry color shift. It dries to a high gloss finish, and offers excellent brush ability.

New Liquitex Clear Gesso this clear acrylic gesso offers greater wet and dry clarity than competitive products. It provides excellent tooth and mechanical adhesion when used as a drawing support with pastels or charcoal, and can be tinted with any color to create a custom colored Gesso. It also offers excellent sealing characteristics when used with oil colors.

Airbrush Medium - A matte opaque preparation of marble dust and emulsion polymer. Dries slowly to a very hard surface, which can be carved and sanded. Use to build heavy textures and 3D forms and rigid supports. Add Liquitex Gel or Heavy Gel Medium for use on flexible supports. Mix with acrylic color or paint surface with acrylic, oil, pastel or other artist color. Permanent, non-yellowing, and water resistant when dry.

Gloss Medium & Varnish - Can be mixed with Liquitex acrylic paint to increase flow, gloss and transparency of colors. Can be used as final, non-removable varnish.

Matte Medium - Increases paint translucency, flexibility and adhesion. Excellent glue for collage, substate size and canvas ground for acrylic paint.

Gloss Gel Medium - A heavy bodied transparent, gloss painting medium, excellent for texturing, glazes and brilliant impastos. An outstanding adhesive for collages. Can be diluted with water up to 25%.

Matt Gel Medium - A heavy bodied translucent gel medium. Retains brush marks. Mix with acrylic paint to improve color blending, extend paint volume and drying time. Excellent glue for collage. Thinning beyond 25% can cause poor adhesion.

Acrylic Gesso - For Acrylics, Oil, Casein, Tempera and other paint media. Apply to raw canvas to seal, stiffen and provide surface "tooth". Also, for hardboard, paper, wood and other non-oily surface. Tint  with Liquitex Medium Viscosity Artist Color or Colored Gesso. For a smoother surface, sand between coats.

Slow-Dri Retarder - Allow the painter to re-work and blend upon the painting surface much longer than when using straight color or other mediums and gels. The slow dry fluid retarder is for blending free-flowing surfaces. It offers excellent clarity when wet and dry. It slow drying as much as 40% and offer exceptional brush ability.

Flow-Aid - Flow-aid increases the flow and workability of water thinned acrylic colors. Improves the flow of paint when blending and glazing. Always dilute Flow-Aid with water before adding to paint. Mix 1 part Flow-Aid to 20 parts water.
